Management & Operation

The management of the Association is vested in the Board and the Council, both of which are presided over by the Chairman who is elected from the Full Membership. The Board of Directors is drawn from member companies and the Chief Executive, which recommends policy to the Council.

The current board is as follows:

The Council meets five times per year and its membership comprises senior representatives from full member companies, who meet to discuss and approve the policy proposals developed by the four main BBPA Groups; Future Beer, Future Pubs, Communications Oversight and Finance. All full members are entitled to membership of Council, and to participate in BBPA Groups, nationally and regionally, as appropriate.

The BBPA groups bring together specialists from the BBPA membership to discuss and agree the way forward on their area of focus and make recommendations on these issues to the Board and Council.
