Membership of the BBPA is open to UK brewing companies, companies importing beer into the UK and companies owning pubs or off-licence outlets.

The annual membership subscription to the BBPA is calculated on beer brewed or imported into the UK, on the number of leased/tenanted pubs or off-licence outlets owned or on the turnover of managed pubs.

Member companies are represented on BBPA's Council which meets five times annually - on the second Wednesday of March, May, July, October and December. The AGM is held at the time of the December Council meeting.

BBPA currently has 72 corporate members. Prospective members need to be proposed and seconded by a current BBPA member and approved as a member at a Council meeting. Representatives of member companies are also able to become members of the BBPA's various groups, panels and committees.
