Beer Industry Export Strategy launched

08/11/17

BBPA's new Export Strategy was launched on 19th October. The strategy sets out our industry’s ambitious but appropriate target of increasing exports by £100 million by 2022. In addition, it identifies key markets and event opportunities for Government support, including helping to fund the unique Pub roadshow concept, over the next two years. The strategy is available to download here.

We have also included best practice guidance on quality control, brand management, and other considerations for exporting, including a list of members signed up to the guidance.

The launch will also coincide with an update to our website, where all these will be housed alongside a Brand Showcase, to highlight to importers which brands are available in different markets. The website will also include an in-depth country analysis of 20 markets which will be updated quarterly and expanded. Please submit any details for the new website to either Paul Oakley (poakley@beerandpub.com) or Erik Dronen (edronen@beerandpub.com).

We continue to monitor trade policy, especially as it relates to Brexit. We last week made a submission for the Treasury’s consultation on its Customs White Paper. This week, Department for International Trade published its Trade Bill, which we are following closely. For more information please contact Erik Dronen (edronen@beerandpub.com).
