Brewing Britain’s beer, Preserving our Pubs

Our members range from family brewers and regional pub companies to international breweries and the UK’s largest pub estates. We also work key players in the supply chain and businesses aligned to the industry’s interests. It’s a diverse group, but they all have one thing in common: passion for beautifully crafted beer and warm and welcoming pubs.

Our industry is in a pivotal phase, with Government decisions and policies, together with shifting consumer behaviour, directly impacting our members’ strategic business planning.

The BBPA is a resource to support and advocate for you.

In 2024 and 2025 secured fiscal, health and sustainability policy wins worth over £1 billion.

Campaigned for and – won – reduced EPR fees worth £30 million for the sector.

What our members say:

“The BBPA provides an invaluable voice for our sector, championing the interests of pubs and brewers on the issues that matter most. From its advocacy with policymakers to the practical guidance and insight it provides members, the organisation plays a key role in helping businesses navigate an increasingly complex operating environment.

“For Punch, BBPA membership delivers real value through access to trusted expertise, industry intelligence and opportunities to collaborate with others across hospitality. Just as importantly, it ensures the views of pub companies and Publicans are represented where decisions are being made.

“At a time when pubs continue to face both significant challenges and exciting opportunities, having a strong, respected trade body leading the charge has never been more important.”

Jon Dale, Strategic Corporate Affairs, External Relations & ESG Lead, Punch Pubs & Co

As the first dedicated alcohol-free beer brand to join the BBPA, becoming a member was an important milestone for Lucky Saint. We’ve felt very welcomed as part of the brewing industry, and the relationship has been invaluable as both our business and the alcohol-free category have grown.

The BBPA has been a trusted source of advice and insight, helping us navigate the regulatory and policy landscape, while ensuring alcohol-free beer has a voice in wider industry discussions. Membership has also enabled us to build relationships across the sector.

We’re proud to be members, and look forward to continuing to work with the BBPA to support a thriving, innovative sector.

Membership of the British Beer & Pub Association is valuable to Damm UK. Working collectively with others across our industry we have a stronger voice by coming together as one to shape the future for British brewing and pub operations.

The BBPA plays an important role in bringing the industry together around issues that matter most.  It’s a valuable source of guidance when the industry faces change with access to expertise, established frameworks and the prior experience of other brewers.

The insight the BBPA provides is invaluable. Their shared industry data can help determine business decisions and offers evidence that can strengthen conversations with customers, partners and the media.

Luke White, UK Managing Director, Damm

The BBPA plays an invaluable role in supporting our sector and ensuring the voice of brewers and pub operators is heard where it matters most. As a member, we particularly value its advocacy with government and policymakers on the issues that directly affect our business, our teams and the communities we are part of.

Beyond representation, the BBPA provides practical technical guidance and insight that helps members navigate an increasingly complex operating environment. Its ability to bring people together from across the industry creates opportunities to share knowledge, address common challenges and learn from one another.

At a time of significant change, having a trusted organisation that champions pubs and brewing, provides expert support and unites the industry around shared goals is more important than ever.
