The Welsh Government’s ambition to support pubs is encouraging, and the proposed cut in business rates is a welcome first step which we look forward to working on with the Cabinet Minister.
Given their unique role in our heritage and culture, they must be put on a strong footing and any changes must match the relief that the UK Government has committed to implementing next year.
Our pubs are key for jobs and communities and create £1.4bn in wellbeing value in Wales alone, and we want to work with the Welsh Government to fix the system so our locals can live long into the future.
